 The 5th Annual Sonoma Bar Battle at the Sonoma Veterans Building is in the books!

The 6th Annual Sonoma Bar Battle is going to be held Saturday October 13th, 2012 at the Sonoma Veterans Building!!

I hope everyone had a good time! Thank You Gloria Ferrer, Carolyn Mulas, all of our wonderful donations for the silent auction and all the bars and restaurants! Money was raised and fun was had!!!

The 5th Annual Sonoma "Battle" is in the books. There are so many people to thank, MC Owen Hardisty, Jay Busse, Gary Padgett,  all the Judges, The Gentleman Soldiers, Train Wreck Junction, the Native Sons, American Legion and all the volunteers! Special Thanks to Pernod Ricard for suppling our event with the spirits that make it happen! We could not do it without ALL of you!!

The "Battle" will be held at Sonoma's Veterans Building at 6pm. In past years More than a dozen local restaurants and bars have entered their finest bartenders to compete on stage for the title of Sonoma's Best Bartender. Check back often to see who will be competing in 2012!

The Skinny

All adults 21 years of age are invited to attend this year's most enjoyable fundraising event.

The event pits Sonoma's brightest mixology talents against each other for silly trophies and bragging rights in an Iron Bartender Style challenge.

Each team, consisting of at least one bartender from over a dozen local restaurants and bars, meet on stage in elimination heats to make the best drink they can using a secret ingredient for a panel of judges.

The secret ingredient won't be revealed until they are on stage. In years past the contestants had to come up with drinks on the fly using such diverse ingredients as tamarind puree, papaya, carmel sauce and lychee fruit.

The winner of each heat moves on to a finals heat where the most difficult ingredient is revealed. After the judges have decided, the Best Bartender is crowned.

Attendees

For this you receive unlimited tasting sized drinks (and beer), finger foods, grilled burgers and hot dogs (while they last), get to see the show on stage.

Each competing team is bringing appetizers and a house cocktail for your enjoyment. This is a great opprtunity to try the food at different establishments, meet the bartenders, hobnob with the owners and have a few cocktails for charity.

There will be a silent auction at the event as well, so stash a little extra cash or bring your checkbook to get in on the great deals. We also accept Visa and Mastercard at the event.

Where can I buy tickets in advance? Tickets will be available a few weeks before the event at - Steiner's, Eraldi's Mens Wear, Mary's Pizza on the Plaza, South American Secrets and Town Square!
